Tourism is a growing industry in the Shire. The Mooraboo Shire has many attractions and is enroute to the nearby spa & goldfields regions and on the Great Southern touring Goute.
Tourism development draws on many aspects of the Shire including recreation, leisure activities, environment, wineries, mineral springs, heritage and landscape features.
Tourism is an increasingly important economic driver within the Shire and presents opportunities for economic development and diversification of the local economy and workforce.
Council is currently working with industry to develop a comprehensive Tourism Strategy, and has formaly joined the Daylesford and Macedon Ranges Campaign Committee. A Council Tourism Policy is also in development.

Attractions come naturally to Moorabool and so do visitors. They come to marvel at the wonders Moorabool has to offer: Wombat State Forest, Lerderderg Gorge, Werribee Gorge and come to see the galleries, have a stroll through the beautiful towns.
