Like all business ventures, there are costs involved with selling and promoting your products overseas.

Financial assistance available from the federal government includes:

• Austrade - help for your business to suceed in international trade and investment.
• Export Concessions: Duty Drawback - obtain a refund for Customs Duty paid on imported goods that are subsequently exported.
• Tradex - an alternative to Duty Drawbacks. A cashflow benefit for importers who intend to export goods do not have to pay the relevant Customs Duty or Goods and Services Tax at the time of import.
• Export Market Development Grant - reimbursement for some marketing expenses.
• Women in Export - support for women achieving international business success.
• Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) - provides finance and insurance solutions to help Australian exporters overcome financial barriers when growing their business overseas. Visit the EFIC website for more information or contact EFIC on 1800 093 724.
• Export Finance Navigator - this tool contains information on the financial assistance available for exporters.
