Aged care
Council's Aged and Disability Services aim to assist people to maintain independence in their own home. It also provides support for those caring for a person who is aged or has a disability. A home visit can be arranged to discuss your needs.
Featured services include:
- Adult day activity programmes including: day outings, discussion groups, gentle exercise, music, crafts and gardening, indoor bowls, bingo
- Home and personal care including: general house cleaning, washing and ironing, meal preparation, transportation to medical appointments, personal shopping and banking
- Home maintenance including: minor carpentry, changing light bulbs, installation of smoke detectors, rubbish removal, cleaning gutters etc
- Meals on wheels and community meals programme
- Respite care, home based and programme based
