Overview
I deal with five Councils and I’d say that Moorabool Shire Council is one of the most proactive. When we were looking into expanding the IGA Bacchus Marsh site, we met with a Moorabool Planning Officer onsite. She really helped us with planning requirements and approval process through Council. - Champion IGA’s CEO, Brendon Goddard
The Moorabool Shire Council recognises it plays a significant
role in utilising its resources, providing an appropriate
environment for the private sector to generate local economic,
social, environmental, investment and employment opportunities.
Economic development is integral to the future directions and
aspirations of the Moorabool Shire. Council’s economic
development unit provides an initial point of contact and
facilitation throughout the planning process for the investor right
through to support and assistance for the local home based
business.
The unit undertakes the following services:
- Investment attraction, facilitation and promotion
- Region, business and Council advocacy
- Regional coordination and facilitation of key strategic projects

and federal level
